
Ras Al Khaimah hosts German cultural fest

Traditional German music and culture, as well as local and German companies featured at the German Spring Festival that returned to Ras Al Khaimah recently.
Organised by the Ras Al Khaimah Chapter of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) at the Hilton Hotel Ras Al Khaimah, the festival brought together around 300 people to celebrate in German style, with German food and traditional live music performances by German bands Lollypop and Die Aulendorfer.
Speaking on the event, Steven Rice, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA), said: “Historically, Germany is one of Ras Al Khaimah’s top three source markets, accounting for more than 20 per cent of the visitors to the emirate.”
“We deeply value the German community’s contribution to our emirate and we are very proud to be supporting events like this, which reinforce the close relationship between Ras Al Khaimah and Germany.”
The German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) is a German semi-governmental organisation which promotes and supports trade relations between Germany and the UAE, and in particular supports German companies in building and extending their businesses in the Gulf region. – TradeArabia News Service
