FastSigns opens first centre in Dubai

DUBAI, June 3, 2015

FastSigns, a leading international sign, graphics and visual communications brand with more than 575 centres worldwide, has opened its first centre in Dubai, UAE.

It plans to open nine more locations across the UAE over the next five years, said a statement.

The franchise became officially operational following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the FastSigns office located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai which was attended by businessmen, officials and dignitaries from a broad spectrum of industries.

The UAE digital signage market is projected to grow at an annual average rate of around 23 per cent until 2019, primarily due to growing  retail, travel and tourism, and hospitality industries as well as Dubai hosting World Expo 2020.

The market is expected to further grow due to emerging next-generation technologies of video-wall, 3D digital signage, cloud access digital signage and smart digital signage, according to a study by Research and Markets.

Hamdi Osman, owner of FastSigns Dubai, said: “We look forward to working with businesses and organisations throughout the UAE to raise their market visibility.

“Regardless of the challenges, our experts will come up with a plan that uses the right mix of innovation and technology to move businesses forward. We are more than fast and more than signs—we’re a visual ideas company.”

An independently owned and operated sign, graphics and visual communications company, FastSigns of Dubai will provide comprehensive visual marketing solutions to customers of all sizes—across all industries—to help them attract more attention, communicate their message, sell more products, help visitors find their way and extend their branding across all of their customer touch points including décor, events, wearables and marketing materials.

It will also provide comprehensive sign and graphic solutions including large-scale interactive and digital signage, exhibition displays, architectural signs, vehicle wraps, directional and wayfinding systems, window and floor graphics.

According to a study by Grand View Research, the global digital signage market is expected to touch $20.03 billion mark by 2020. About 74 per cent of all purchasing decisions globally are made where consumers are bombarded with a host of digital and audio visual messages.

The digital signage market in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region continues to witness steady growth. Outdoor advertising is gaining popularity across the Arab world’s second biggest economy as international and local brands prefer to use this platform to promote consumer-driven products.

The UAE market presents unlimited opportunities, especially in the run up to the Expo 2020, with companies and brands vying to convey their messages across to a wider audience to be on the cutting-edge of their businesses, said Osman.

The UAE ranks first in the Arab world in advertising spending in the local markets, having shown signs of impressive growth in line with the overall economic growth and especially in tourism, shopping, retail and aviation domains, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
