Ramadan begins tomorrow in Gulf region

Saudi Arabia and most other Gulf states have announced that the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan begins tomorrow (April 13) following the sighting of the new moon, said media reports.
Bahrain's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) announced that tomorrow (April 13) will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the royal family, the Bahraini people as well as the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion.
On the advent of the holy month, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, received cables of congratulations from the leaders of the Islamic states.
Keen to celebrate with the leaders of Islamic countries the advent of Ramadan, as customary every year, the Saudi leadership replied their thanking cables, expressing their pronounced good wishes and sincere prayers, and prayed to the Almighty to accept from everyone good deeds and worship, and to return this blessed occasion to the Islamic nation with further progress and prosperity.
Oman's Main Committee for Moon Sighting of Ramadhan 1442 AH issued a statement on Monday declaring that Ramadan moon could not be sighted on Monday. Therefore, the first day of Ramadan in the country will be on Wednesday (April 14).
