The event, held under the patronage of Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, at The Avenues, Manama, was aimed at empowering young Bahrainis to thrive in the global economy.

 

It saw over 700 students, with 66 student companies representing 41 under the High School Trackand 25 companies under the University Track from across the kingdom, taking part.

 

A major highlight at the event was a marketplace showcasing the innovative products and services of Bahraini Young Entrepreneurs from various schools and universities, creating an atmosphere of innovation and creativity for families.

 

The second day witnessed the official inauguration of the festival by Sheikha Hessa accompanied by senior officials  including Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ebrahim Al Bourshaid, Acting Assistannt Undersecretary for Education at the Ministry of Education, Essam Alalawi, Training and Manpower Development Director at the Ministry of Labour Akef Aqrabawi, President & CEO of Injaz Al Arab, and Injaz Bahrain board members.

 

A distinguished panel of judges including Abulrahman Al Mulla from Alba, Dr Ahmed Bucheeri from GPIC, Mariam Rahimi from Tamkeen and Mohamed AlSayed CEO of Accelera evaluated student companies for the High School Track, and Ammar Al Raees from bni, Sheikh Ebrahim Al Khalifa from Bapco Refining, Bassam Hatem from stc Bahrain, and Safa Sharif, the Co-Founder of WSI Consulting were the judges for the University Track assessing and nominating outstanding company ideas for Injaz Bahrain’s national competition scheduled for April, said the statement. 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikha Hessa said: "The remarkable success of the festival is the culmination of weeks of relentless dedication and hard work from students, volunteers, and the Injaz Bahrain team. Witnessing over 10,000 visitors in a span of two days is truly gratifying."

 

"The Injaz Bahrain ,Youth Festival has not only provided a valuable platform for showcasing the next generation of Bahrain’s business leaders, innovators, and change-makers but has also highlighted the distinctive accomplishments of the kingdom’s forward-thinking minds to the public," she stated. 

 

Lauding the event partners for their support, Sheikha Hessa said: "Over the years, Injaz Bahrain Youth Festival has served as a platform gathering innovative youth from across the kingdom to showcase their innovations, and the tradition will continue in the years to come with even more success."

 

Injaz Bahrain’s annual flagship competition aims to enrich the entrepreneurial skills of Bahraini youth, showcasing their growth and remarkable achievements throughout the year, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
