130,000 enlist for subsidy payouts in Bahrain

MANAMA, September 21, 2015

More than 130,000 Bahraini breadwinners have so far been registered for cash payouts they will receive once government meat subsidies are scrapped. Around 117,000 were automatically signed up as they were already enrolled with the Social Development Ministry for financial support, while another 13,000 had registered online as of yesterday (September 20) morning, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
