Saudi Arabia names new foreign minister in major reshuffle

Saudi King Salman has issued a royal order on Wednesday (October 23) replacing Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Assaf with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, reported SPA.
King Salman also issued another royal order relieving Dr Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi, Minister of Transport, of his post and appointing Saleh bin Nasser bin Ali Al Jasser in his place, it stated.
In other royal orders, Dr Abdullah bin Sharaf bin Jumaan Al Ghamdi was appointed chairman of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence at the rank of minister; Saleh bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Othaim was named vice-president of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence; Dr Esaam bin Abdullah bin Khalaf Al Weqait was appointed director of the National Information Center; and Dr Tareq bin Abdullah Al Enazi was named chairman of the National Data Management Office, the SPA report added.
