Bahrain British Business Forum holds AGM

The Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF), at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), re-elected of majority of the current committee members and added one new member for the 2021-23 term.
Attended by Roddy Drummond, the British Ambassador to Bahrain, the meeting saw the BBBF Deputy Chair Paula Boast opening the proceedings and Khalid Al Zayani OBE, BBBF Chairman, giving his annual report summarising the forum’s activities during the year and outlining the BBBF’s financial highlights.
The executive committee members for the next term are:

• Nasser Al Arayedh, Honorary Secretary
• Ava Garbutt, Committee Member
• Mark Gravener, Committee Member

• Mike Jackson, Committee Member
• Zee Bassila, Committee Member
• Dena Wales, BBBF Executive Manager
Under the challenging conditions brought on by the global pandemic during 2020 and the first half of 2021, the BBBF shifted its networking meetings online, arranging numerous online events and collaborations with other networking organisations in the region.
The forum’s online meetings were successful during the year, featuring high-profile speakers from local businesses and government entities, including ministers, and business and community leaders, from Bahrain and the UK.
Al Zayani said in his address: “Despite the tumultuous year, the BBBF continued to strengthen its position as the largest and most active business group in Bahrain, as demonstrated by the successful online events during the year. It never ceases to amaze me how diverse our membership is, and how many great business leaders and entrepreneurs we are fortunate to have as members. We look forward to welcoming new members, particularly new Bahraini members to boost our membership even further.”
Al Zayani expressed his appreciation and thanks to the forum’s Executive Committee, and corporate sponsors Euro Motors, CharlesRussell Speechlys, Etihad Airways, Gulf Brands International, RSA, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Yoiku PR.
