New ministers named in Bahrain Cabinet reshuffle
MANAMA, June 13, 2022
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has issued a decree reshuffling the Cabinet.
The decree appoints some new ministers while changing portfolios of some ministers.
Earlier, chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, said the Cabinet will soon welcome new members who will bring new ideas and a renewed drive to continue advancing the public sector for the good and development of the country and its citizens.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his sincere gratitude for the contribution of senior public sector professionals, whose experiences and national contributions have benefited the Kingdom and its citizens in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision.
According to a Bahrain News Agency report the decree stipulates the following appointments:
* Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure
* Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan - Labour Minister
* Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani - Industry and Commerce Minister
* Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak - Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister
* Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina - Minister of Oil and Environment
* Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi - Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications
* Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj - Works Minister
* Youssef bin Abdulhussein Khalaf - Legal Affairs Minister
* Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor - Social Development Minister
* Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan - Electricity and Water Affairs Minister
* Dr Jalila bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan - Health Minister
* Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda - Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister
* Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki - Cabinet Affairs Minister
* Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi - Housing and Urban Planning Minister
* Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif - Sustainable Development Minister
* Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi - Tourism Minister
* Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi - Information Affairs Minister
The Prime Minister shall implement this decree which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette, said the decree.
