Alef Group, a leading real estate and retail firm in Sharjah, will host Alef Chess Championship, billed as the biggest Chess Championship in the Arab World at Al Mamsha Sharjah. The contest will be held in collaboration with Sharjah Cultural Chess Club (SCCC) on April 7 and 8. 

 

Over 1,000 participants from different nationalities, along with their families, are expected to attend the two-day event at Al Mamsha and enjoy a range of activities. The event will run from 9:30 PM to 1 AM daily and the winners will receive prizes worth AED50,000 ($13,615). Apart from the championship, there will be various other activities suitable for both adults and children.

 

Jamal Issa Al Midfa, Secretary General of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, expressed gratitude towards Alef Group management for hosting the first championship of Al Mamsha Chess and ensuring its success with the provision of exceptional facilities.
