Eid Al Adha in Dubai lines up array of festivities

DUBAI, June 13, 2024

Eid in Dubai takes place from June 16-23, will bring residents and visitors live entertainment, firework displays, mall activities, retail offers, raffles and prizes, and hotel promotions and memorable days at Dubai’s top attractions.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), here are some activities that the organisation said is promising a dazzling schedule of fun and entertainment.

Fireworks

At Riverland Dubai, the skies will come alive in an Eid firework show on June 16 and 17 at 9pm that will follow laser shows which will happen every night of Eid at 7.30pm, 8.20pm, and 9.30pm.

Music and Shows

A spectacular schedule of musical performances will ensure that this Eid Al Adha is a memorable celebration for everyone.

Globally acclaimed singer Amr Diab, and one of the biggest stars in Arabic pop music, is returning to Coca-Cola Arena for a must-see live performance on 18 June and to celebrate Eid in style with ‘Al Hadaba’, the winner of the World Music Awards and Guinness World Record holder.

Also coming to the Coca-Cola Arena on June 21 are legendary performers Hussain Al Jassmi and Sherine Abdel Wahab.

Dubai Opera will also welcome fans to step into a timeless journey that brings the soul-stirring melodies of Umm Kulthum back to life. The Umm Kulthum Hologram Al Atlal on June 18 will see the legendary artist return to the stage, accompanied by a live orchestra.

Festive Ambiance

The city will light up over Eid with stunning themed decorations to bring the beauty of the season to all 15 locations around Dubai and will take on a festive ambience to enchant residents and visitors alike.

Mall Activities

The city’s malls are organising family entertainment over Eid Al Adha.

Customers at City Centre Mirdif can catch the captivating Nickelodeon Rocks stage show and character meet and greet between June 16-23.

Little ones can say hello to their favourite characters including Dora the Explorer, Marshall & Chase from Paw Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Shimmer & Shine in six daily shows starting at 1pm. In addition, customers spending will receive double Share loyalty points during Eid.

At Dubai Festival City Mall, shoppers who spend AED 500 or more stand the chance to win AED 5,000 worth of Blue Points every day from June 16-19. The mall will also host the enthralling Imagine Show with new choreography each night at 7pm.

The Pluma Circus is another enchanting experience for families to witness. The captivating show is on at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall, with performances happening until June 20.

The spirit of Eid will come alive in exciting and authentic performances by a traditional Emirati band. Daily performances will commence at 4.30pm across the city, including Al Khawaneej Walk, Bluewaters Dubai, Circle Mall, City Centre Al Shindagha, City Centre Deira, City Centre Me'aisem, City Walk, Dubai Festival City Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, Mall of Emirates, Nakheel Mall, and The Outlet Village.

Retail Offers

Incredible promotions will help everyone prepare for Eid celebrations. Shoppers can find countless special offers in malls across Dubai, with a multitude of stores promoting amazing deals. Skywards Everyday app users can earn 50% bonus Miles for all spends of AED 2,500 or more across participating shopping partners until June 30.

Hotel Offers

Families, friends, and couples can find the perfect staycations this Eid with unbeatable hotel deals right across the city to suit every preference and price point.

Kids can stay for free and enjoy complimentary access to Dubai’s thrilling theme parks with a stay at Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection between June 16-19.

Visitors to The H Hotel can also take advantage of free stays for kids, in addition to discounts on room rates, complimentary breakfast, guaranteed room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, and vouchers.

Rixos Premium Dubai offering discounts on room rates, spa treatments, and F&B throughout the Eid weekend. Dusit Thani is marking down room rates by 10% this Eid, while providing complimentary breakfast, late check-out, and even more benefits for Dusit Gold members.

At Khalidia Palace Hotel, there is a flat 30% off published room and F&B prices.

Beach Walk Boutique Hotel, Millennium Plaza Downtown, Conrad Dubai, and Beach Walk Hotel Jumeirah are offering special Eid discounts.

The Lemon Tree Hotel is giving guests up to 20% discount on F&B and spa treatments during a stay.

Asiana Grand Hotel Dubai is welcoming guests for the perfect blend of Eid joy and serenity, with 10 per cent of room rates and F&B this Eid and a free kid’s club. For the perfect daycation, families can head to Roda Beach Resort and make a splash with a pool day pass and lunch buffet.

Raffles

Dubai Shopping Malls Group is holding its annual Eid Al Adha raffle. Shoppers who spend AED 200 across 18 participating community malls will receive a digital raffle ticket, with a chance to win cash prizes up to AED 200,000. There will be 22 winners in total, with draws taking place on the last three days of Eid.

The Modesh Shopping Card brings another exciting chance to win. Those who purchase the card which costs AED 10 on the Dream Dubai app and website will be in with the chance of winning AED 300,000 in cash in the Eid Grand Prize raffle.

Modesh Shopping Cards can instantly be redeemed for Modesh clothing and accessories at the Modesh retail outlets in Box Park and Dubai Festival City or online at the Modesh store on the Dream Dubai app. The grand prize draw will take place live on the Eid stage with Dubai TV presence on the first day of Eid.

The Dubai Jewellery Group is bringing its highly anticipated annual draw back for another year at 150 participating jewellery outlets across Dubai. During Eid, 20 lucky customers who spend AED 1,000 or more stand the chance to win vouchers worth AED 5,000 each.

Gastronomy

The Eid break presents the perfect time for residents and tourists to explore Dubai’s incredible dining scene. With thousands of cafes and restaurants to explore across every corner of the city, it is the perfect time to sample new flavours, discover new dining experiences, and make memories with friends and loved ones.

Parks and Resorts

This iconic Dubai attraction gets even more exciting at Eid with extra entertainment for all the family.

Visitors can also refuel after a thrilling day at the special Eid Buffet at Al Mashowa, where traditional flavours and live cooking stations will be on offer between June 16-18.

A new Bollywood Dance Show invites guests to groove under the stars at Royal Plaza, outside Rajmahal, at 7.15pm each evening; while little ones can immerse themselves in Dino Mania excitement in a new performance every Wednesday to Sunday at 8.30pm.

Guests to Motiongate Dubai can meet their favourite characters and watch two spectacular live shows, such as Just Smurf It, and the martial arts themed Kung Fu Academy, and more.

Those seeking Eid gifts can find new merchandise across the resort’s stores, and treat themselves to delicious treats at the New Eid Street Food Market at Studio Central.

Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection invites guests for an unforgettable staycation this Eid, with their “Kids Go Free” offer that includes complimentary theme park access, breakfast, and late check-out, as well as flexible dining options in the parks or hotel.

Located at the Dubai World Trade Centre Halls 2 - 8, this beloved indoor attraction is home to Modesh and Dana, and is themed around the seasons of the year.
