VinFast, Vietnam-based global automotive leader, has designated Bahwan Automobiles Trading (BAT) as the official distributor for its vehicles in Oman, under a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) that is aimed at advancing sustainable mobility in the sultanate.

As VinFast’s official distributor in Oman, the company will play a pivotal role in bringing innovative EV solutions to the sultanate. This collaboration is poised to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Oman, marking a significant shift in the region's automotive market, said a statement.

VinFast, a part of Vietnam's largest private enterprise Vingroup, is a frontrunner in electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing with a diverse product range including electric SUVs, sedans, crossovers, e-scooters, and e-buses.

The company is renowned for its innovative features, formidable battery power, and performance capabilities, with models starting at 172 hp, underpinned by robust intellectual property protection.

Its state-of-the-art manufacturing complex is at the centre of its mission to drive the global smart electric vehicle revolution with a focus on high-quality products, advanced smart services, customer experience, and inclusive pricing strategy.

The partnership, signed at the COP28 UAE, the UN Annual Climate Change Conference, is a shared commitment to sustainable mobility, said a statement.
