United Insurance rolls out E-insurance for Bahrain entry via causeway
MANAMA, June 25, 2024
United Insurance Company has announced that starting from July 1, short-term insurance for vehicles entering Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway (covering 3, 5, or 10 days) will be available exclusively through E-channels.
The shortest insurance period available at insurance booths will be one month, it said.
The company said the move aims to enhance the various insurance services provided to vehicles crossing the King Fahd Causeway, streamline the insurance acquisition process, and ensure smooth and efficient travel across the bridge.
E-insurance service enables the issuance of insurance policies and the payment of fees online, allowing travellers to obtain their insurance before reaching the King Fahd Causeway.
United Insurance Company CEO Maysa Al-Kooheji commented: "This measure is part of the company's efforts to implement a comprehensive digital transformation policy across all its operations, as we continue the development phase announced last January, which began with the launch of the company's new logo and visual identity.”
The E-insurance can be easily accessed through the "United Insurance" app, available for download from app stores, as well as through the company’s official website www.uic.bh, the "Jesr" app, and the "e-traffic" app. Additionally, the service is available on the e-government portal of Bahrain.
United Insurance Company also offers round-the-clock customer service, available 24/7, through the channels listed on its official website and other apps and social media channels. –TradeArabia News Service
