Production at Algeria's largest refinery, Skikda, has been halted by a power outage that followed an explosion at the plant, two sources at the refinery said on Wednesday.

 

"An explosion hit a unit supplying electricity yesterday," one source said.

 

A second source confirmed the stoppage and said repair work was ongoing and production is expected to resume shortly. --Reuters
