MOL get top sustainability ranking
BUDAPEST, November 17, 2020
MOL has again qualified for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) in the Upstream and Integrated Oil & Gas category following the 2020 assessment process.
This is the fifth consecutive year that MOL has been recognised for its corporate sustainability leadership and made it into the DJSI. Following the annual sustainability assessment, MOL continued to improve its scores compared to previous years and is ranked in the top 10 per cent of Upstream & Integrated Oil & Gas companies worldwide, based on sustainability performance.
MOL remains one of the leaders in sustainability in Central Europe and is the only company from Emerging Europe on the index.
“We are very proud that our sustainability efforts have once again been recognized by inclusion into the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. It is reassuring to see that in an increasingly competitive environment we were able to further improve our performance across multiple elements. DJSI inclusion is an important accomplishment, but more than that, it is also a reflection of the efforts of all our employees and partners as we all work hard to transform MOL Group as we transition to a low carbon world,” said József Simola, MOL Group Chief Financial Officer.
The DJSI has been designed to identify companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices against internationally recognized standards. The DJSI is based on a rigorous analysis of a company’s sustainability performance, hence membership in the DJSI is restricted to corporations judged to be best-in-class. Given its long-term commitment to sustainable development, MOL is pleased to be continuously recognized as a top ESG performer among the investment community. —Tradearabia News Service
