Adipec extends submission deadline for awards

The deadline for submissions for the 2021 edition of the prestigious Adipec Awards has been extended until Monday, July 12, following unprecedented interest in the awards from across the energy industry.
The decision to extend the deadline coincides with the announcement of a high-level jury for this year’s awards that includes Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Tarek EI Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Adipec Awards’ 10 categories are:
Breakthrough Research: This award highlights research applicable to the oil and gas value chain enabling the industry to transition in managing the environment, harnessing technology and drive the efficiency and safety agendas critical to the industry.
Breakthrough Technology Project: This award acknowledges the year’s best new innovative technological development made within upstream, midstream, or downstream sectors with the power to become a game changer or disrupter in the energy industry.
Digital Transformation Project: This award recognises the importance of digitalisation within the oil and gas industry and the achievements of organisations that have successfully digitalised one or multiple areas of their business through the application of digital and disruptive technologies.
Social Contribution and Local Content Project: This award honours the unique contribution and efforts made by the oil and gas industry across all parts of the industry value chain for the betterment of the wider community and environment.
Oil and Gas Inclusion and Diversity Company: This award will be presented to a company for its contribution in promoting, delivering and embedding inclusion and diversity into its business strategy creating an equal, diverse and inclusive environment for all in the organisation.
Young Technical Professional: This award salutes young technical professional who has shown the ability to become a key contributor to the future development of the industry and who has strong potential to reach senior management level.
Innovation in Decarbonisation Company: This award is open to oil, gas and energy companies showing commitment and innovation to reduce its carbon footprint while improving energy affordability by creating and deploying future-oriented initiatives across all parts of the oil, gas and energy industry value chain.
Oil and Gas Start-up Company: This award recognises the oil and gas start-up working on innovative projects with the greatest potential to reshape the industry based on innovation, business model and impact of its products and services.
Operational Excellence in Remote Working: This awardhonours the oil and gascompany operating with high excellence standards, overcoming disruptive conditions through remote operations tonsure business viability and agility in the future.
Lifetime Achievement: This award salutes an extraordinary and deeply principled leader who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the oil, gas and energy industry during their career for a consistent and prolonged period of engagement, winning widespread recognition and respect on the global stage.
A thorough and transparent judging process will see each submission assessed by a jury of experts, comprising48 technical and 21 selection committee members before a final adjudication by a jury of senior global industry executives.
Entries for the awards can be submitted online at (adipec.com/awards). The top 3 finalists in each category will be announced in August, and the winners of this year’s Adipec Awards will be announced on November 15.
