Abu Dhabi DoE to showcase its latest digital initiatives at GITEX

The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) announced its GITEX Global 2023 participation with an aim to showcase its key initiatives in energy efficiency solutions.
 
As the authority responsible for issuing policies and regulations for the energy and water sector in the emirate, DoE will announce the Phase 3 of the Energy & Water Intensity Heatmap, which uses 3D technologies for the first time ever.
 
The advanced geospatial dashboard, an essential part and enabler of DoE's energy efficiency initiatives, aims to provide data that helps policy makers in arrive at actionable decisions to enhance capabilities, and empowers project owners to improve energy and water efficiency throughout the emirate.
 
This innovative system facilitates in-depth analysis of electricity and water usage intensity and allows stakeholders to track evolving trends within the built-up environment.
 
A key feature of this cutting-edge system is its ability to reduce human intervention by an impressive 90 per cent in data presentation and analysis.
 
It also significantly enhances customer awareness, increases consumption rate understanding by 70 per cent, and delivers consumption data for over 350,000 buildings within one minute.
 
The system offers visual data for more than 72 million monthly readings on a single dynamic map, ensuring comprehensive insights for effective decision-making.
 
Speaking about the project, Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), said, "Our participation at GITEX Global 2023 within the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion underscores our commitment to pioneering digital government initiatives that drive efficiency in energy solutions and enhance user experience. GITEX Global 2023 is an important platform where we will unveil a unique project that enhances our ability to efficiently determine and manage water and electricity consumption in Abu Dhabi buildings.”
 
The success of this project is the result of joint efforts and constructive cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy and various stakeholders including DMT, ADDC and AADC, which are part of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA)‎.--OGN/ TradeArabia News Service
