Schneider to set up high-tech facility at Spark
RIYADH, January 17, 2024
King Salman Energy Park (Spark), a leading industrial ecosystem provider, has signed a deal with Schneider Electric to build a multi-faceted 20,000 sq m manufacturing facility.
The facility will manufacture key systems including Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Compressor Control System (CCS) to support Saudi Arabia’s energy value chain.
The facility will be built within Spark, located between Dammam and Al-Ahsa, and completed towards the end of 2025.
Industry expertise
The agreement will leverage Schneider Electric’s industry expertise and aims to ensure the reliable and optimal functioning of industrial processes, with focus on security and efficiency through the facility’s operations.

The project will be awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building certification for the use of sustainable practices implemented throughout the construction phase.
