Combined Group Contracting lands $174m Kuwait pipe supply deal
KUWAIT, April 8, 2024
Kuwait-based Combined Group Contracting (CGC) has announced that it has secured two contracts worth a total of KD53.8 million ($174.4 million) from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for supply of flow pipes for its key project in the country.
Unveiling the details, CGC said the first one worth KD30.13 million is for supply of 6-inch flow pipes for a project in North Kuwait, while the second one worth KD23.66 million is for supply of 6 and 12-inch flow pipes in the South Eastern part of the country. Both these contracts will be completed in three years, it added.
This win for CGC comes close on the heels of a sub-contractor deal inked with Enshaat Al Sayer, a Kuwait-based engineering, construction, contracting and trading company, for the South Kuwait Excavation Transportation and Remediation (SKETR II) – Zone A project last month.
The order worth $24 million was awarded by KOC and the work is likely to be completed in early 2027.
Last year in November, CGC had snapped up a major project contract from the Ministry of Public Works to provide infrastructure improvement works for the Qordoba - Phase 11 development.
The contract, worth KD15.24 million, will be completed within three years.-TradeArabia News Service
