TWMA seals 10-year contract extension deal with Equinor

LONDON, June 15, 2024

TWMA, one of the world's top drilling waste specialists based in Aberdeen, UK, has announced that it has secured the first of five available contract extensions with leading Norwegian multinational energy group Equinor (formerly Statoil and StatoilHydro).

The contract, which could extend until May 31, 2034, encompasses a comprehensive suite of services including bulk transfer, slop treatment, swarf treatment, skip and ship operations, and TWMA's award-winning offshore processing technology, the RotoMill.

The contract is designed to optimise waste management processes, aligning with both companies’ commitment to environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Jan Thore Eia, TWMA's Business Development Manager in Norway, said: "This extension is crucial for us as we look forward to continuing our support for Equinor. We aim to build on the success we have achieved in supporting several field development campaigns in the region."

"Our commitment to excellence and innovation in managing drilling waste effectively and sustainably has not only strengthened our relationship with Equinor but has also set industry benchmarks. As we advance, our focus remains on delivering value to our clients through our specialised services and technological expertise," he added.
