Sharakah, AMTA to boost SME growth in Oman renewable energy

MUSCAT, October 6, 2024

Oman’s premier small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) development firm Sharakah has entered into a MoU with AMTA Engineering, an Omani-owned company offering bill discounting solutions.

Founded in 2012, AMTA Engineering is a leading player in the sultanate’s renewable energy sector, offering comprehensive energy services and infrastructure solutions.

With a management team bringing over 25 years of experience, it is renowned for delivering high-tech, efficient, and cost-effective solutions across multiple disciplines.

The company’s ISO 9001-2015 certification underscores its commitment to quality and adherence to both local and international standards.

AMTA’s expertise spans real-time energy monitoring, energy-saving solutions, electrical installations, HV/LV power line construction, substation works, and complete solar solutions, contributing significantly to Oman’s energy landscape, said Abdullah Al Jassasi, the CEO of AMTA Engineering after signing the deal with Dinkar Kishor, the General Manager of Sharakah.

Sharakah said its bill discounting scheme, offering a 120-day credit period, was specifically designed to support SMEs, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and driving growth in critical sectors such as renewable energy, In-Country Value projects, and communication technologies.

This initiative highlights Sharakah’s role in empowering emerging business leaders and fostering sustainable entrepreneurial growth in Oman, it stated.

"AMTA Engineering’s innovative approach and advanced technologies empower Oman to adopt sustainable energy solutions that enhance operational efficiency and promote a greener, more environmentally conscious future. This collaboration offers Sharakah a unique opportunity to support AMTA’s business objectives and contribute to their strategic growth," said Ali Ahmed Muqaibal of Sharakah.

"Through our specialised SME support programmes, including tailored bill discounting schemes, we are committed to fostering the growth of SMEs in sectors like renewable energy, In-Country Value projects, and communication technologies," he added.

AMTA Engineering CEO Abdullah Al Jassasi said: "We are deeply grateful to Sharakah for their invaluable support in this collaboration. The bill discounting facility provided by Sharakah will significantly aid our efforts, particularly as we undertake a major contract to install solar panels."

"Since our inception, we have been dedicated to advancing our capabilities to meet the evolving demands of the energy sector. At AMTA Engineering, we see ourselves not just as service providers but as partners in progress, committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and efficient energy solutions for the future," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
