Al Rawabi wins Forbes ME award

DUBAI, June 24, 2015

UAE-based Al Rawabi, a leading producer of dairy products and fresh juices, has won top honours at the ‘Top Companies in the Arab World 2015 Awards’ constituted by Forbes Middle East.

The company was recognised in the “Top Private Companies Making an Impact” category, joining a list dominated by brands from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, said a statement from the company.

Al Rawabi said it was number one in the UAE market in terms of market share for juices, and also held one-third of the market for dairy products in the UAE.

Al Rawabi’s units produce 275,000 litres of dairy products a day along with 150,000 litres of juice products available in 14 different flavours, said the statement.

The brand’s products are distributed to over 10,000 retail outlets regionally, it said.

Speaking on the win, Dr Ahmed Eltigani, the general manager, said: “Al Rawabi is a UAE success story of which the first chapter was written in 1989. We have since grown to become one of the region’s foremost locally-based dairies.”

“Al Rawabi is investing heavily in capacity expansion to meet rising demand, with sales growing by 15 per cent in Q1 of 2015 alone,” he added. – TradeArabia News service
