ABU DHABI, October 29, 2014
The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) general headquarters recently launched the “My tourism is my identity” initiative, to enhance the concept of tourism among community members.
The initiative aims to acquaint tourists with the touristic attractions and places within the UAE emirate, and includes various events to enable volunteers who wish to contribute to spreading the concept within the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Al Otaibi, chief of tourism police section at Abu Dhabi Police, said: “In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, youth, and community development, the section has organised a campaign to clean the beaches of the Abu Dhabi Corniche at the Heritage Village near the Breakwater.”
The campaign was carried out with the participation of Environment Friends Society (EFS) and other volunteers.
“The initiative is a continuation of the efforts of the concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi to develop the tourism industry and provide a splendid image of tourist attractions and archaeological sites,” said Lieutenant Colonel Al Otaibi. – TradeArabia News Service
