Cathay, Dragonair to suspend flights due to typhoon

HONG KONG, August 1, 2016

Cathay Pacific and Dragonair have announced that flight departures and arrivals at Hong Kong International Airport today (August 1) will be suspended from 22.00 until 14.00 tomorrow (August 2) as Typhoon Nida moves closer to Hong Kong.

The airlines has advised passengers to check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.com or www.dragonair.com, before departing for the airport.

The airlines also encourages passengers booked on on flights departing tonight or tomorrow to postpone non-essential travel. The airlines will waive fees on re-booking, re-routing and cancellation and refund for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before August 1 for travel on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair involving Hong Kong between August 1 and August 3.

Alternative arrangements will be made for affected passengers, the airline said in a statement.

The carriers have also advised customers to update their contact details in Manage Booking at www.cathaypacific.com or www.dragonair.com in order to receive the latest flight status updates via SMS or email. - TradeArabia News Service
