Hotels in Abu Dhabi saw average daily rates reach its highest in two years this February, according to new figures.

STR’s preliminary February data showed that Abu Dhabi's hospitality sector recorded a 17.9 per cent increase in ADR to Dh577.21 ($157).

STR analysts attributed strong demand and the ADR spike to IBTM Arabia and the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, major shows held during February.

The data also showed that Abu Dhabi reported a 1.5 per cent rise in hotel supply while demand increased by 1.7 per cent.

Occupancy rates also rose marginally to 76.5 per cent while revenue per available room (RevPAR) jumped by 18.1 per cent to Dh441.63 ($120.2). - TradeArabia News Service
