Saudi awards Jeddah airport contract to Singapore’s Changi

JEDDAH, May 1, 2017

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (Gaca) has awarded the contract to operate the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Singapore’s Changi Airport Group for up to 20 years, a report said.

The statement from the kingdom’s aviation authority did not provide any details other than that the selection was made after an evaluation of bids, the Reuters report said.

The Saudi Arabian airport is also home to the world’s fourth largest terminal in the world: the Hajj terminal, a whopping 510,000 sq m in size.
