LONDON, March 10, 2018

Saudi Arabia has signed a memorandum of intent with the UK to buy 48 Typhoon aircraft,  aerospace giant BAE Systems has said.

The MoI was signed after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson.

BAE Systems said the signing was "a positive step towards agreeing on a contract for our valued partner".

"We are committed to supporting the kingdom as it modernises the Saudi Armed Forces and develops key industrial capabilities critical to the delivery of Vision 2030, BAE Systems said in a statement. - TradeArabia News Service
