The Meydan Hotel appoints new executive assistant manager- F&B

The Meydan Hotel has appointed Jan Hollunder as its new executive assistant manager – Food and Beverage, bringing more than two decades of international hospitality experience on three continents to this award-winning luxury hotel.
The German national started his professional career in 1997, right after completing hotel business studies in Duesseldorf, Germany. Bringing over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to the role, Hollunder received invaluable experience in a range of celebrated international properties and hotel chains in various countries including the US, UK, Bahamas, Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE.
“With excellent skills in hotel operational management, wealth of experience in pre-openings and hotel rebranding as well as extensive UAE, GCC and international market knowledge, Jan will prove to be a great asset to The Meydan Hotel, to further maintain a premium position in the market,” said Reuben Mifsud, cluster general manager, Meydan Hotels & Hospitality
In his new role, Hollunder will manage all aspects of hotel operations and lead the hotel’s food and beverage service and culinary departments. Furthermore, he will be overseeing the hotel’s in-room dining, banquet food and beverage operations in addition to seven restaurants and lounges including Prime fine-dining steakhouse, Shiba Chinese and Japanese restaurant, international all-day dining Farriers, relaxing Millennium Lounge, Qube Sports Bar, Shiba Bar and Equus Pool Bar.
