A proposal for a new free-flow flyover that would directly connect Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Bridge to Bahrain International Airport has been rejected by the Muharraq Municipal Council, a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication, has said.

The flyover was proposed as a solution to ease traffic on the road network leading to the airport highway, which is congested throughout the day as it is the main link to all inner routes in Muharraq, it said.
