No detected cases of coronavirus at Autumn Fair

MANAMA, January 29, 2020

On January 24, the Ministry of Health of Bahrain took measures to eliminate any risk of contamination of the coronavirus at one of the country’s most attended event.

In a medical facility temporarily set up at the Autumn Fair, the Ministry of Health screened all participants as a preventive procedure. The Ministry of Health has officially confirmed through their social media channels that no symptoms of the coronavirus were detected in any of the individuals, neither at the event, nor in the country.

The organisers of the Autumn Fair, Informa Markets are thankful for the precautionary steps and prompt action taken by the national authorities.

The nine-day shopping extravaganza runs until January 31 and features over 650 exhibitors from 16 countries. New in store for 2020 is a Moroccan Pavilion selling the best handicraft that the country has to offer. Other country pavilions include Egypt, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Oman, Yemen, UAE and Kuwait.

Entry and timings

Entry to the Autumn Fair 2020 is BD1 ($2.6). Tickets can be purchased during show opening hours from kiosks at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Children under the age of 12 years will be admitted free of charge. - TradeArabia News Service
