Gulf Air flies in vital medical supplies in Covid fight

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air said it had operated special flights in co-ordination with a number of Bahraini enterprises to import 9 tonnes of medical items as well as healthcare equipment and hygienic products.
In line with national efforts aimed at combating the coronavirus (Covid-19), Bahrain's flag carrier Gulf Air operated special flights to import 9 tonnes of medical items in coordination with a number of Bahraini enterprises specialising in the healthcare equipment.
The medical drugs and equipment besides the hygienic products were chartered on special Gulf Air flights in an initiative spearheaded by Team Bahrain, said the statement from the airline.
The collaboration between the national carrier and the local companies was to ensure the kingdom had an abundant supply of medical drugs and equipment during this time to serve the shared goal of a safe and healthy community for all, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
