Dubai Tourism, TEC officials visit La Perle ahead of reopening

DUBAI, July 15, 2020

As La Perle, Dubai’s most spectacular entertainment spectacle, is all set to welcome back show-goers on July 30, officials from The Executive Council of Dubai (TEC) and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in Dubai joined Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group (AHG), on a visit to the venue ahead of the official reopening.

Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of TEC, and Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of DTCM, and Al Habtoor with were led on a tour of the venue by Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al Habtoor Group, and briefed on the special public health and safety regulations put in place at the aqua theatre, in line with the government’s pandemic-control measures.

The officials praised the steps taken by La Perle’s management to ensure the well-being of guests and their event preparedness in time for Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which would steer the uptick in commercial activities post the lockdown months. The guests — greeted by La Perle performers and acrobats at the venue — were treated to a brief preview of the show and short trailer announcing DSS 2020 activities

Khalaf Al Habtoor said: “We are very happy to welcome everyone back to Dubai’s most unforgettable show. This is proof that we are bouncing back to normalcy after the last few months and ready to regale UAE residents and visitors with the highest in quality entertainment.” Al Habtoor added that La Perle — part of AHG’s leisure & entertainment offerings — has timed its opening as part of the wider DSS activities and encouraged by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai’s economic recovery plans for the emirate.

With this season presented in partnership with DSS, La Perle – located in the heart of Al Habtoor City – prioritises public health and safety, operating at reduced capacity and assigned distant seating, by keeping empty seats around each group of attendees. Prominent instructional signage will help guide guests on maintaining safe distancing. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available all across the venue, which is also disinfected using aerosol ULV foggers before and after every show, with particular focus on high footfall areas.

Paperless and contactless tickets and scanning will be enabled along with temperature scanning of everyone entering the theatres. Guests are also encouraged to keep their masks on during the show.

La Perle has a limited-time offer starting at AED119 ($32.3) per ticket on family packages, including free popcorn and soda with every buy. Residents and visitors wanting to make the most out of their summer holiday can opt for the La Perle Ultimate DSS Staycation package, with an overnight escape for two in the lap of luxury at Habtoor Palace Dubai, LXR Hotels & Resorts, packaged with two tickets to La Perle, starting from just AED448 ($121.9).

The DSS-special edition of La Perle, until August 29, will feature two daily shows - Tuesday to Friday at 6 pm and 9 pm, and on Saturday at 4 pm and 7 pm.
