Abu Dhabi hotel data improves in February

Abu Dhabi’s hotel industry reported its best performance since the start of the pandemic, according to preliminary February 2021 data from STR.
In addition to higher absolute levels, year-over-year comparisons were more favourable than previous months.
Abu Dhabi hotels reported an occupancy of 65.4% during February, compared to a decline of 15.4% last year.
Average daily rate (ADR) was recorded at AED361.07 ($98.3),marking a yea-on-year fall of 12.4% and revenue per available room (RevPAR) was AED236.03, down 25.9%.
The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (21-25 February) brought more than 62,000 attendees across the five days.
When looking at daily data, Abu Dhabi hotels saw their highest ADR (+50.5% to AED606.80) and RevPAR (+34.4% to AED446.57) levels for the month on the first day of the conference. – TradeArabia News Service
