Spanish brand Barcelo to operate 234-room Oman resort

Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group), the executive arm of the Sultanate for tourism development, has appointed Spanish hotel brand Barceló to operate Al Mussanah Resort starting from today ( July 1).
Located along the sandy beaches of the Sea of Oman in Al Batinah South governorate, Al Mussanah Resort promises guests a captivating and unforgettable experience with an array of attractive leisure activities.
The premium property features 234 spacious rooms, 74 lavishly decorated serviced apartments, exquisite F&B outlets and state-of-the-art health and wellness facilities, ideal for short and long-stay guests, said the statement from Omran.
Oman has rapidly grown as the ideal getaway destination for international and regional travellers in the Middle East, and Barceló Mussanah Resort will offer guests the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to unwind and relax by the beach or partake in exciting leisure activities, including water sports and exploring the cultural heritage of Oman, it stated.
The appointment aligns with the group's plan to enhance tourism experiences and activities in the resort while bringing new operational and management concepts to its various facilities.
Omran Group is aiming to re-position this unique beach resort, which was established 10 years ago, in line with its wider strategic goals to position it as a locally, regionally, and internationally attractive all-inclusive family holiday destination with a wide variety of activities and experiences, said its top official.
