A landmark in the UAE capital, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, located on a private beach, celebrates the country’s 50th National Day with an array of offers and activities.

Celebratory activities at The Palace

 

Celebrations commence from November 28 with mesmerising illuminations on the hotel’s façade. A range of festivities will also be taking place under the Grand Dome including a spread of 50 varieties of dates and an array of children’s activities from November 29 to December 3, performances of traditional Al Ayala Dance on December 2 as well as a photo opportunity with the resident falcon on December 2 and 3. 

 

On December 2, guests can enjoy the National Day air show and the fireworks display. 

 

Kids activities and outdoor adventures

 

A destination for families, the resort offers guests with an outdoor play zone featuring a range of facilities and experiences for kids, including a giant red slide, a bungee trampoline and a Palace treasure hunt. The Family Day Passes for two adults and two children under the age of 12 years ensure a day of fun with access to these kids activities alongside all other Beach Club facilities. 

 

In addition, guests can have fun at the Water Sports Centre with a range of motorised and non-motorised water sports, or bounce their way over the inflatable AquaFun Park. 

 

Spa indulgence

 

For a weekend of relaxation, the Emirates Palace Spa offers pampering sessions with the 90-minute Rose and Oudh Hammam treatment that includes a complimentary 15-minute shea butter body treatment. Guests can also treat their skin to a Platinum HydraFacial and enjoy a complimentary 30-minute perk treatment for eyes or lips.

 

Culinary delights

 

For a gastronomical experience, a variety of dining options to suit every palette awaits guests at the property. Families and friends can enjoy a picnic in the Palace’s garden with views of the National Day Air Show on December 2. Available from 2pm to 6pm on December 1 and 2, the National Day Picnic experience includes gourmet treats and non-alcoholic beverages.

 

Those looking for a spot to watch the fireworks display in the evening of December 2 can make the most of BBQ Al Qasr’s location on the beachfront. The al fresco dining destination offers a National Day set menu with signature dishes highlighting open fire cooking, complemented by a welcome drink and a box of the finest dates.

 

Diners can also have a selection of specially designed tasty menus from Hakkasan, Martabaan, Mezlai, Sayad and Le Café. Alternatively, they can celebrate the occasion at a dinner buffet with kid’s activities at Vendome.
