The Riyadh Season entertainment program, which kicked off four months ago, has achieved an unprecedented four Guinness World Records, through a variety of entertainment activities such as games, exhibitions, and concerts.

The records included 100 songs recorded using hologram technology, while at the Riyadh Motor Show, the season set a world record in the Guinness World Records by displaying the largest model of a Formula 1 car from Lego pieces, using half a million Lego cubes, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The construction process of the model took around a week, and the assembly process was carried out by certified experts and specialists from LEGO. Representatives of Guinness World Records attended the assembly process via a live video broadcast, to document and officially certify the achievement of a new record as the largest of its kind in the world.

11 million visitors

Meanwhile, Riyadh Season has realized exceptional figures since launching its events, where the number of visitors exceeded 11 million in areas and events of the season, including tourists from 125 countries.

The number of visitors totalled 11,000,875, including more than 1 million of international visitors, more than 1.6 million visitors from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 8.3 million visitors from inside Riyadh, where visitors belonged to more than 125 countries, including 8,227 tourists from Russia, 7,332 from Canada, 8,815 from France and 20,014 from the UK, where the US topped the countries with 22,532 visitors. This is in addition to 1,255 participating companies and generating a total of 150,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Riyadh Season is among the most important entertainment destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and was launched on October 20, 2021 under the motto #Imagine_more, where its events are held on an area of around 5.4 million square meters and includes 14 entertainment areas across Riyadh, which are: Boulevard Riyadh City, Via Riyadh, Combat Field, AL Atheriyah, Riyadh Oasis, The Groves, Winter Wonderland, Riyadh Front, AlMurabaa, Nabd alRiyadh, Riyadh Safari, AlSalam Tree, Khalooha, and Qariat Zaman.

The events of the season include more than 7,500 event days, 10 international exhibitions, more than 350 theatre shows, in addition to an exhibition and auction for international cars, more than 70 coffee shops, 200 restaurants, and e-games tournament and more than 100 interactive experiences.

In the field of games, the giant slide in Riyadh City Boulevard has achieved two records in the world, as the longest in the world, in addition to being the owner of the highest number of tracks of its kind in the field of games.

The highest point of the giant slide stands at 22,136 metres, and its length is estimated at 117 metres, with 56.5 metres in width, while the number of its tracks is 24. The tracks vary according to their design, some of which are straight tracks, others zigzag-shaped in wavy shapes, and open for adults and children.
