LONDON, May 16, 2022
Bicester Village, home to world-leading brands and located an hour from London, and not-for-profit organisation British Fashion Council (BFC), have partnered again to promote British fashion with the launch of a fashion boutique.
The Creative Spot x British Fashion Council pop-up boutique launched on 11 May to run until June 15, 2022, promoting innovative and sustainable British design.
Created for Bicester Village, located in the heart of Oxfordshire countryside, and the British Fashion Council by Richard Quinn, recipient of the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, the pop-up will showcase 18 of the country’s most exciting designers.
These include Alighieri, Christopher Kane, Completedworks, Eudon Choi, Mary Katrantzou, Mira Mikati, Mother of Pearl, Patrick McDowell, Phoebe English, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Roksanda, Sophia Webster and many more. In addition, the boutique introduces the designs of Rejina Pyo and Tata Naka to Bicester Village and will feature Ivana Nohel’s silk scarves (a favourite of Her Majesty The Queen), exclusively available in the Village.
The Creative Spot x British Fashion Council pop-up is a joint commitment of Bicester Village and the British Fashion Council to promote British talent. Coinciding with celebrations to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the pop-up boutique offers designers retail space free of charge while providing them with unique exposure to discerning guests from all over the world.
Desirée Bollier, Chair and Global Chief Merchant, The Bicester Collection, said: “British fashion has a unique spirit and energy that ignites the imagination. Bicester Village and the British Fashion Council are proud to celebrate the exceptional rising stars of the British fashion industry and we are delighted, once again, to provide a platform to nurture and support tomorrow’s talent today by providing them with mentoring to grow their businesses.”
The Creative Spot
As part of The Bicester Collection’s ongoing commitment to supporting young designers, The Creative Spot was launched in 2016 in Fidenza Village near Milan and has appeared at many other Villages across Europe within the Collection.
