Top chefs to battle for coveted culinary title at Hotel Show
DUBAI, May 23, 2022
Some of the UAE’s leading chefs will battle it out at this year’s Hotel Show Dubai Chef’s Table, being held in partnership with Dubai’s premier fresh food market, the Waterfront Market.
The event is a live culinary experience, in which nine teams will go head-to-head as they bid for the title of ‘Hotel Culinary Team Of The Year’.
The tense culinary experience pits the chefs against each other as they prepare a five-course meal in a three-day gastronomic extravaganza. The head chefs from each team will head to the Waterfront Market closer to the competition date to select all the required ingredients under the guidance of Chef Christos Lymperis, the Market’s Executive Resident Chef. They will have access to a wide range of fresh produce from local seabream, salmon, beef tenderloin and lamb liver to a range of unique ingredients such as camel meat, lamb tongue, local two yolk-eggs and a rich mix of local and imported fish and seafood in addition to herbs and spices and many more under one roof.
Nine teams from hotels across the country, regarded as one of the region’s most diverse culinary landscapes with some of the world’s top chefs, will go head-to-head for an event which has become one of the highlights of the annual trade show. The Chef’s Table guests invited to the experience will enjoy a lavish and exquisite five-course meal.
The event is organised and managed by The Emirates Culinary Guild in partnership with the Waterfront Market, the Hotel Show’s official Chef’s Table sponsor and the show’s fresh produce and ingredients provider for the second consecutive year.
Mohammed Al Madani, the Waterfront Market Manager, said: “As a haven for fresh produce and the leading food supplier for the UAE’s hotels and restaurants we are happy to provide all the Chef’s Table competition ingredients and be part of the judging panel at the Hotel Show Dubai.”
Participating teams include Grand Millennium Business Bay, led by Mohamad Chabchoul, Ceasars Palace Dubai, led by Arivukkarasan Ravikkumar and Hilton Garden Inn RAS Al Khaimah, led by Sunera Perera.
“This has really become a major feature of the show,” said Elaine O’Connell - Vice President - Design & Hospitality – dmg Events. “F+B is one of the most popular things guests love to take part in and this interactive experience really engages visitors whether they’re from F+B or not.”
The Hotel Show is set to take place between May 24 and 26 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, attracting thousands of industry professionals from across the hospitality industry for the packed programme including networking events and workshops.
“We are really excited to see what the chefs do this year as each year the competition seems to get tougher and tougher as people really vie for this very coveted industry recognition,” Elaine O’Connell. - TradeArabia News Service
