OxfordSaudia Flight Academy to take part in Bahrain airshow

MANAMA, September 6, 2022

OxfordSaudia Flight Academy, a CAE authorised training centre, will take part in the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2022), set to be held at the Al-Sakhir Air Base from November 9 to 11.

Patronisied by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, BIAS 2022 is co-organised by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) and the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF), in collaboration with Farnborough International, a Bahrain News Agency report said.

An agreement on OxfordSaudia Flight Academy’s participation in BIAS 2022 was signed during a meeting between Bahrain's Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Mohammed bin Thamer Al-Kaabi, and the Chief Executive Officer of OxfordSaudia Flight Academy, Captain Larry Wade.

The minister and Capt Wade discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the aviation industry.

BIAS 2022 Director, Yousif Mahmoud, and the CEO of OxfordSaudia Flight Academy, signed the agreement, in the presence of the Business Development Director at OxfordSaudia Flight Academy, Ahmed Al-Jowder.

Minister Al-Kaabi lauded the great number of participants in BIAS 2022, which, he said, crowns the tremendous efforts exerted by BIAS Supreme Organising Committee, led by HM the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BIAS work team at MTT and RBAF, citing their success in attracting prestigious educational and training institutes specialised in developing human resources in all forms of the aviation industry.

He hoped that OxfordSaudia Flight Academy’s participation will contribute to enhancing national and GCC competencies in the fields of civil and commercial aviation.

Captain Wade said the academy’s participation in BIAS for the first time reflects the outstanding success of its previous editions, noting that the academy’s participation will boost the aviation training sector.

He unveiled OxfordSaudia Flight Academy’s plans to expand its operations regionally and internationally, which requires the conclusion of more agreements to increase the academy's fleet of planes and simulators for training aircraft.
