Band Turizm hotels get green energy certification

Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection and Lara Barut Collection, the hotels owned by Band Turizm, have become the first Green Energy Certified (I-REC) hotels in the Mediterranean Region with the cooperation with CK Enerji.
Fahrettin Tunc, the General Manager of CK Enerji, presented the I-REC certificates at the certificate ceremony held at Lara Barut Collection.
Introducing new ones to the existing breakthrough projects on environmental projects due to the climate crisis, unconscious consumption of natural and underground resources etc., Band Turizm will utilize 100% renewable energy at Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection and Lara Barut Collection hotels to reduce their carbon footprint and promote the use of renewable energy.
With the cooperation built with CK Enerji, prevention of emissions amounting to 4.72 million kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) is projected for the two hotels in the first year. Renewable energy is generated by power plants such as HEPP, WPP and SPP.
Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection and Lara Barut Collection, the first hotels to obtain the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) in the Mediterranean Region, will meet a total of 10 million KWh of power consumption by green energy.
