Jeddah Airports participates in International Airport Summit

Jeddah Airports Company participated in the International Airport Summit 2022, held in London from October19 to 20, with the participation of major international companies specialized in the air transport industry.
CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abo Abah, said that participation in this conference aims to learn about the latest operational practices for managing global airports, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The company aims to exchange knowledge and experiences with specialized international companies, and present Jeddah Airports plans related to building, developing and improving services at King Abdulaziz International Airport, he added.
He pointed out that the conference is an opportunity to meet with the chief executives of airports and air transport companies, and to discuss ways of cooperation.
The CEO indicated that the company is currently seeking to raise the capacity of King Abdulaziz International Airport by completing the terminals to be established after adopting the general plan to complete Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.
He noted that Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, who make up 30% of transit passengers, noting that transit passengers also represent from 25% to 30%, while regular travellers represent 40% of the 114 million passengers targeted through King Abdulaziz Airport in 2030.
The International Airport Summit 2022, is held annually and will discuss in its current session, how to manage airports in light of the current challenges, with the participation of experts from around the world, benefiting from the latest innovations and advancing operational excellence, in which international speakers participate to develop their future strategy, in addition to the sharing the lessons learned from past experiences.
