MANAMA, November 8, 2022
The UAE is set to make a strong presence at the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS2022), which opens tomorrow (November 9) at Sakhir Airbase in Manama.
The UAE National Pavilion, one of the largest at the show, will have a strong government and company presence, and will feature latest world-class products and solutions across the military, aerospace and aviation sectors.
Organised by the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), the national pavilion will be managed by Tawazun Council, the UAE defence and security acquisitions authority working to empower technology and innovation through partnerships, investments, support and collaborations.
"Our participation in this internationally-renowned air show stems from the UAE’s keenness to further strengthen brotherly ties and cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain under the wise leadership of President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa," remarked Tareq Abdul Raheem Al Hosani, the Secretary-General and Managing Director of Tawazun Council.
The UAE Pavilion at BIAS 2022 will offer latest ‘Made in the UAE’ products, technologies, solutions and services by leading defence companies, including Edge, Yahsat, GAL, Al Hamra, Ammroc and Calidus.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Director of Corporate Communications at Tawazun Council, said: "BIAS 2022 gives us an excellent opportunity to showcase our innovative products and solutions, engage with the international aerospace and aviation sectors and identify opportunities for long term partnerships."
"With many key Emirati players taking part, we expect the UAE National Pavilion to be one of the Show’s major attractions," stated Al Jaber.
"The 2022 edition of Bahrain International Airshow will see industry-leading professionals and organisations gather at the ‘Gateway to the Gulf’ to do business, network and discuss the key challenges facing the sector as it heads into 2023," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
