Visit Bahrain targets East Europe tourists with new Hungary office

MANAMA, April 8, 2023

Visit Bahrain has opened its new office at Budapest, the capital of Hungary, in bid to attract visitors from emerging markets in Eastern Europe. This office will cater to other EU nations such as Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Czech Republic.

With this move, the kingdom's leading destination company aims to attract over 5,000 tourists from Eastern European nations by the year end.

Visit Bahrain offers six-day tour programmes for foreign tourists. These packages include accommodations at several hotels in Bahrain, including The Grove, a hotel owned by the group situated in the Amwaj Islands, as well as access to various resorts, such as the Solymar resort, located on the coast near the hotel.

In addition, Visit Bahrain arranges transportation and tours for European tourists through its events arm, Visit Bahrain Group.

This comprehensive tour package enables foreign tourists to explore Bahrain's history, heritage, and culture while enjoying the comforts of luxurious accommodations and world-class resorts.

The opening of the new Budapest office will help further bolster tourism in Bahrain and attract visitors from emerging markets in Eastern Europe.

"Visit Bahrain's Budapest move is sparking Eastern European travel boom with around 5,000 tourists from the Eastern Europe expected to visit the kingdom," stated its CEO Ali Amralla.

"The opening of the representative office in Budapest followed extensive negotiations with travel and tourism companies across Eastern Europe.

Through these discussions, "Visit Bahrain" established a partnership with STR Office, represented by Peter Borcsok, culminating in the signing of an agreement to establish the new office.

This initiative coincided with Visit Bahrain's participation in the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB) held recently in Berlin, Germany.

"Building on the success of our foreign representative offices in London, Paris, Germany, and Italy - which represent some of Western Europe's most significant capitals - we have decided to expand our operations across the European continent," explained Amralla.

"Our aim is to leverage the experience we have accumulated and execute an ambitious plan that entails the establishment of offices in all European capitals. This move will enable us to strengthen our presence across the region and capitalize on new opportunities that arise," he added.

On its ITB participation, Amralla said' "It was a resounding success, thanks to the steadfast support provided by the Ministry of Tourism and BTEA. Their unwavering backing allowed us to secure ambitious agreements and expand our foreign business operations."

"At Visit Bahrain, we are dedicated to implementing programs and partnerships that contribute to the development of Bahrain's tourism sector," he noted.

Amralla pointed out that Visit Bahrain's primary objective was to realize the goals outlined in Bahrain's Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, with private tourism establishments playing a pivotal role in achieving these objectives.

"We firmly believe that effective partnerships and collaborations are essential to revitalizing the sector and reinforcing Bahrain's position as a premier destination in the region," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
