Abu Dhabi sees big visitor growth during Eid Al Adha

ABU DHABI, July 18, 2023

Yas Island Abu Dhabi and Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi have recorded significant growth in domestic and international visitors during Eid Al Adha 2023, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s continued growth as a global hub for tourism and leisure.
 
Yas Island delivered entertainment, fireworks and family-friendly packages with Yas Theme Parks experiencing a surge in guests and families, with an increase of over 100 per cent in domestic and international visitation compared to the previous year.
 
One-third of all guests explored the newly unveiled SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Yas Theme Parks received a 200 per cent increase in visitors from the GCC compared to 2022. Saadiyat Island received more than 80 per cent hotel occupancy.

Yas Theme Parks’ all-inclusive entertainment package, Kids Go Free, offers families entrances to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
 
Yas Mall, the largest mall on Yas Island, extended opening hours until 2:00am. In June, Yas Mall saw a 21 per cent increase in visitors compared to June 2022 and the 10-day Eidiyah campaign for Eid Al Adha recorded a 29 per cent increase in participant numbers compared to 2022, while more than 16,000 shoppers took part in the mall's Spend and Win campaign.
 
Saudi Arabian singer, Rabeh Sager, performed at Etihad Arena with a rendition of some of his most iconic songs, drawing fans across various age groups.
 
Yas Island hotels had 90 per cent occupancy. Hotels located on Saadiyat Island attracted numerous visitors and the luxury resorts saw an occupancy of more than 80 per cent with guests seeking to travel inland. – TradeArabia News Service
