Phocuswright forum to put AI impact in spotlight
Lauderale, Florida, August 29, 2023
The powerful advances of artificial intelligence (AI) in the travel sector will be the focus of an annual international conference to be held in Lauderdale, Florida in November 13-16, 2023.
Phocuswright, a global research body providing insights on travel technology, has lined up top speakers for the event organised under the theme, ‘You, Me & the Machine’.
The four-day event that is expected to attract at least 1,300 travel industry decision-makers from around the world, will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence across every aspect of travel – from business operations to consumer experiences.
The sessions will aim to find out if AI will turn out to be a great equaliser or whether it will deepen the inequalities that exist in the travel industry. The conference will delve deeper into pressing issues such as travellers’ evolving relationships with their smartphones, the pace of change, the challenges of competition within an industry dominated by titans, and ultimately how man and machine can work together toward a better future for travel. Importantly, it will seek answers to the question – will AI replace humans?
“Travel once again sits on the cusp of unprecedented change,” said Eugene Ko, Director, Marketing & Communications at Phocuswright. “Machines are evolving at a dizzying pace; the machines are making deeper inroads into our industry that demand constant rethinks. These crucial issues will be front and centre at this year’s Phocuswright event – as an industry, we need to be ready for these radical shifts.”
Delegates can also look forward to Phocuswright’s celebrated Startup Program – a curated networking plan for startups, its diversity in leadership, and the Young Leaders’ Summit – the launching pad for tomorrow’s generation of travel leaders. – TradeArabia News Service
