Six Senses Southern Dunes makes two key appointments

RIYADH, October 3, 2023

Six Senses Southern Dunes, the first property set to open in Saudi Arabia’s The Red Sea Project, has announced two key appointments.

Taleb Alharbi as has been appointed as the Resort Manager, while Yasser Al Dhaheri has been promoted to the role of Director of Human Resources.

The resort will open its doors in late 2023.

Taleb's journey with Six Senses began in April 2022 when he joined as the Director of Rooms at Six Senses Southern Dunes. During his tenure, he showcased his exceptional skills and dedication, leading to his well-deserved promotion, said a statement. Prior to joining the team, Taleb undertook a transformative programme at Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives.

Hailing from Saudi Arabia, Taleb embodies the core values and vision of Six Senses. With an extensive background in the global hospitality industry and diverse experiences in various cities and roles, he is well-equipped to succeed as the Resort Manager, said the statement.

Taleb was recognised as one of Saudi Arabia's top local leaders in the hospitality sector, furthering his education with an Executive Master’s programme in International Hotel Management from Les Roches Marbella, supported by the Ministry of Tourism.

Yasser has been an integral part of the team, leading the human resources department with diligence and expertise throughout the pre-opening phase and beyond. His exceptional dedication and remarkable results have made him a standout talent within the Six Senses family, said a statement.

Yasser's educational background in engineering and his experience in the finance department have provided him with a solid foundation to excel in his role. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, he earned an Executive Master’s Degree in International hotel Management from Les Roches Marbella, Spain.

His previous experience in leading international five-star hotels in various locations has given him a deep understanding of the labour market's demands and how to succeed in the field of human resources.

Since joining, Yasser has implemented protocols that have enhanced the efficiency of the Human Resources Department, played a crucial role in developing HR strategies, and fostered a culture of teamwork and excellence.
