Fireworks festival to return to Maltese shores in April
DUBAI, March 25, 2024
The annual Malta International Fireworks Festival is set to return to the Maltese shores in April 2024, and once again illuminate the skies of Malta and Gozo with spectacular colours, lights and festive cheer.
The dazzling displays of fire will take place from April 20 to 30, with a special pre-festival event taking place at the Granaries in Floriana on April 13.
The fireworks festival is reminiscent of Malta’s rich history and tradition of firework artistry on the islands, that dates back to the 16th century, a statement said.
Fireworks are an integral part of the Maltese village festas, and they cater for a wide range of interests, it added.
The festival that will display aerial and ground pyrotechnic artistry, is expected to draw fireworks and culture enthusiasts, tourists, families and professional photographers.
The festival will take place in various locations around Malta and Gozo, providing visitors an opportunity to explore the island and witness the firework displays against iconic landmarks.
This year’s edition will include Valletta, Marsaxlokk, Mellieħa and even Nadur in Gozo. The Grand Finale will take place at Valletta’s majestic Grand Harbour. – TradeArabia News Service
