Resorts World One makes Jakarta seasonal homeport

Resorts World Cruises has created history in Indonesia with the arrival of the Resorts World One cruise ship in Jakarta on Sunday (June 16) for her seasonal homeport deployment in the country.
This marks a new milestone as Resorts World Cruises is the first international cruise line to homeport in Indonesia, offering four round-trip 6 Day / 5 Night Singapore - Kuala Lumpur Cruises on June 16, 21 and 26, as well as July 1.
Travellers from Indonesia can now enjoy a cruise vacation with the convenience of embarking the Resorts World One cruise ship from Tanjung Priok in Jakarta weekly.
Resorts World Cruises, together with the local Indonesian authorities, held a special celebratory event to welcome the maiden arrival and first sailing of the Resorts World One from Jakarta, Indonesia.
Upon the ship’s arrival, the Indonesian tourism authority greeted disembarking tourists visiting Jakarta with a series of cultural performances and welcoming souvenirs.
Subsequently to commemorate and officially launch the inaugural sailing from Jakarta, another event was held on the cruise ship with over 250 attendees, which was officiated by both Capt Hendri Ginting M M, Director of Marine Safety & Seafarers, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation and Itok Parikesit, Director of Special Interest Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia. Other local government authorities, travel and business partners, the media and key influencers, together with Resorts World Cruises representatives were also present, which included its Executive Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, together with Puan Sri Cecilia Lim; Colin Au, CEO & Executive Director and Michael Goh, President, as well as the operational management team.
Demand for the highly anticipated maiden sailing from Jakarta has been overwhelming with a total of close to 3,500 guests and crew sailing out.

Itok Parikesit, Director of Special Interest Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, said: “It is our hope that the deployment of the Resorts World One in Jakarta will provide positive prospects and increase the number of international tourists visiting Indonesia, which will also boost the country’s foreign exchange. This deployment will also enable the port of Tanjong Priok to not only be a homeport, but also a cruise hub and destination for more cruise tourists to explore various local destinations.”
Resorts World One is also certified as an OIC/SMIIC Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship, which provide Muslim travellers with the convenience and access to certified Halal cuisines that are available at a designated section at one of the onboard complimentary restaurants.
Resorts World One also offers a wide range of Asian and international cuisine across the 18 bars and restaurants.
