ME Dubai exhibition features Zaid Farouki's creations
DUBAI, September 13, 2024
In partnership with Arab Fashion Council for this year’s Dubai Fashion Week, ME Dubai, a leading luxury hotel and a patron of architecture and arts, will spotlight the work of renowned Dubai-based Palestinian-Jordanian designer, at its latest Cultural Connection Exhibition.
Zaid Farouki, celebrated for his fusion of art, culture, and fashion, describes himself as an artist who uses fashion as a means of expression.
Available until September 29, Farouki’s exhibition offers visitors and guests an exclusive opportunity to experience the intersection of fashion and art in one of Dubai's most architecturally stunning landmarks.
He launched his namesake label in 2015 and has since garnered international acclaim for his innovative approach to fashion.
Renowned for his bespoke couture pieces that combine hand-painted artistry, intricate embroidery, and contemporary silhouettes, Farouki transcends the boundaries of fashion, creating a bridge between the past and the future, tradition and innovation, and culture and modernity.
Farouki’s unique approach includes crafting fabrics entirely from paint and 3D-printing sculptures, such as crowns that reflect his middle name, ‘Taji’, meaning ‘my crown’ in Arabic.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Zaha Hadid's futuristic interiors, ME Dubai remains a steadfast advocate of the initiative by providing a stage for emerging and established talents to elevate artistry and create powerful synergies with architecture, arts, and culture. – TradeArabia News Service
