ADGM, SIAC sign MoU backing arbitration at Singapore forum
ABU DHABI, 8 days ago
The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), strengthening their partnership to advance international arbitration as a preferred approach for resolving cross-border disputes.
This agreement expands on an earlier MoU signed between SIAC and the ADGM Arbitration Centre in 2021. The new MOU focuses on fostering collaboration between the two institutions.
Key initiatives include potential SIAC presence within ADGM, co-hosted conferences, seminars, and workshops on international arbitration in both Abu Dhabi and Singapore, and preferential rates for arbitration hearings held in each other’s venues.
The MoU was signed on October 28 during the 15th Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum, held in Singapore, with Gloria Lim, CEO of SIAC, and Linda Fitz-Alan, Registrar and CEO of the ADGM Courts, representing their respective organisations.
Through this partnership, SIAC and ADGM aim to enhance the appeal of international arbitration as a reliable and effective dispute resolution method in the region. – TradeArabia News Service
