Middle East Development Company (Medco), a leading construction equipment dealer, will present some of the latest in construction equipment at this month’s Saudi Build.
The Jeddah-headquartered company represents some of the best known construction equipment companies across the globe, including Putzmeister of Germany for concrete pumps; Sullair of the US for air compressors; Dynapac of Sweden for compaction equipment; and GEHL construction equipment from the US.
At the exhibition, Medco will highlight the benefits of some of the latest equipment that it has within its range that includes: Mixokret screed conveyor from Putzmeister; compaction and paving equipment from Dynapac; industrial and mobile air compressors from Sullair Corporation; and skid loaders and material handlers from GEHL.
Backed by its principal, Medco will put the spotlight on Putzmeister’s most powerful Mixokret ever – the M 760 DHB.
“This latest generation of screed conveyor will captivate visitors with its myriad practical details and modern design,” says a spokesman for Putzmeister.
Apart from the Mixokret, Putzmeister will also promote some of the company’s latest line of products.
For plastering work with premixed dry mortar or wet mortar, the German company will be displaying not only a compact S5 universal screw conveyor pump, but also the versatile MP 25 mixing pump, which is described as being ideal for all pumpable premixed dry mortars.
In addition, the visitor can expect to see the SP 11 DMB fully-hydraulic premium worm pump, which processes premixed dry mortar and site-made mixes, says the Putzmeister spokesman.
“Also of particular interest for visitors will be the P 13 piston pump, which will be exhibited right outside the main entrance of Saudi Build, with live demonstrations,” he says.
“Putzmeister and Medco look forward confidently to this important trade fair, since Saudi Arabia is one of the countries with the largest growth rates in the construction industry,” says the Putzmeister spokesman.
“One big factor that encouraged Medco to participate at the Saudi Build 2008 was the fact that the show provides participants with a platform to demonstrate the latest model/technology of their product range,” says Rany P Constantino, national product manager.
“We have exhibited at the Saudi Build before and so far it has been a satisfactory experience,” he adds.
Commenting on the level of business and the growth of the construction sector in the kingdom, he says: “We have had an excellent year in business so far and have already posted a record-breaking level of business turnover.
“Geographically speaking, Saudi Arabia covers approximate 1.96 million sq m and has a population in excess of 20 million. To keep up with the needs of the local population, the Saudi government has announced several mega development projects worth SR1.2 trillion ($320 billion). Keeping in mind the growth prospects in the kingdom, Medco has embarked on expanding its operations into newer markets within the kingdom,” says Constantino. “We are currently expanding our areas of operation and have recently embarked on a new project that will involve the setting up of state-of-the-art showrooms and a head office in Saudi Arabia. All these measures have been initiated to enable us to provide our existing customers the best services all the time.”
Established in 1967, Medco is a 100 per cent Saudi-owned business and has over the years spread its reach in the kingdom through setting up branches in all regions – Eastern, Western, Southern and Central region. The company has about 150 employees working at all its facilities.
Medco will be exhibiting at the Saudi Build at Stand E101 and outside at 2024.
